University of Chester Study Abroad
20B George Street, CH1 3EQ Chester, Cheshire
Destination fair 2018,
Small Hall 11th of October
5.30pm until at least 7.30pm
Meet our overseas providers and students who have been on an overseas excursion with study abroad Chester
Why would I come?
It is an informal event and is a great way to meet up ask questions and hear answers not only from the study abroad team and providers, but, from those actually on an exchange or already been abroad to these destinations to tell you what it is really like.
Who should come?
Students who are thinking about applying for any sort of overseas endeavour. This is an opportunity to make your final decisions before you apply and complete the selection process if you already have. This INCLUDES those of you who want to go away as an INDIVIDUAL on YOUR OWN PLACEMENT as it will show me you have researched our opportunities and found none suitable.
Do have to come?
If you want to study abroad? Yes you do, this is an experiential intercultural learning opportunity and a significant part of our selection process, you can stay for just 20 mins and just talk to me if you are terribly shy! Make sure you register and let us know who you are also it will help me remember you at interview.
SMALL HALL Parkgate road campus
From 5.30pm-7.30pm although it will go on until the last student wants to leave! Within reason ofc.
What do I have to do?
Basically turn up in casual clothes and chat to people/ask questions about where you want to go. Just be yourselves, you are great!
Who will I speak to?
I will be there to help facilitate introductions, Susannah will have labels so you will know who everyone is including yourself. For example: James outgoing Study abroad (SA); Clara incoming Study abroad SA; Jane service learning (SL).
All of our service learning and internship providers will be there too! No other outbound team of students has had this insight before, we hope it will be a fun occasion.
What time can I leave?
You can leave when you want, but I hope you will make like-minded acquaintances/friends and stay awhile.
